Privacy Notice
CV UID provides candidate profile creation, controlled CV sharing and employer search services. This notice explains the personal data we process and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account data includes your name, email address, password hash, role, verification status and consent records. Candidate profile data may include your location, contact details, professional summary, skills, employment history, education, projects, visibility choice and PIN hash. Employer data may include representative name, work email, job title, organisation name and website.
Service records include profile visits, employer access requests, approvals, revocations, PDF downloads, security events and abuse reports. We store a one-way hash of an IP address in limited anti-abuse and consent records instead of storing the address itself.
Why we use it
We process this data to create and secure accounts, publish or protect profiles according to candidate choices, provide employer search, manage access requests, produce CV PDFs, show candidates their activity history, prevent abuse, provide support and comply with applicable law.
Who can see candidate information
Public profiles can be viewed by anyone and discovered by verified employers. PIN-locked profiles can be opened with the candidate’s PIN; verified employers may alternatively request candidate approval. Private profiles are visible only to their owners. Employers must not use profile information outside legitimate recruitment activity.
Service providers and retention
We may use hosting, database, email delivery, security and monitoring providers strictly to operate CV UID. Account and profile data is kept while the account remains active. Security, consent, access and moderation records may be retained for a limited period where necessary for legal compliance, dispute resolution and abuse prevention.
Your choices and rights
You can correct profile data, change visibility, change or remove a PIN, revoke employer access, download an account-data copy and delete your account from the account page. You may also request access, correction, erasure or grievance redressal by contacting us.
Children
CV UID is intended only for people aged 18 or older. Do not create an account if you are under 18.
Security and grievances
We use access controls, password hashing, signed links, rate limiting and audit records to protect the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact CV UID Grievance Officer at hello@cvuid.in for privacy requests or grievances. General privacy questions can be sent to hello@cvuid.in.
This operational privacy notice should be reviewed by qualified Indian counsel and updated with the legal entity’s registered name and address before public launch.
